The Healthy Active Kids (HAK) Program

Schools are one of the greatest vehicles we have for promoting healthy lifestyles behaviours in Australian communities. Corporate Bodies International have developed a school nutrition program to help spread the word on healthy eating to young Australians.

Developed by CBI's Dieticians, the children's nutrition and lifestyle education program titled Healthy Active Kids was established in 2005, as part of the Commonwealth Government's Healthy School Communities grant initiative. Now having been run by CBI Dietitians in over 400 schools across Australia, the Health Active Kids programs is found on The National Dietary Guidelines for Children and Adolescents and the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating. The program consists of a range of exciting education sessions, catering for students from pre-primary through to Grade 12. Hands-on education topics, including Brain Food, Energise your Body and Mind, Food Fads and Phobias and Healthy Eating Trivia provide students with a basic knowledge of healthy eating and lifestyle skills in a fun and interactive format.

The Healthy School Communities grant has now been completed and Corporate Bodies International is very proud to have been a part of this valuable program.
