Health coaching, an effective way to bring about sustainable change
There is growing acknowledgment that solely educating individuals is not sufficient in bringing about long-term behaviour change. CBI’s health coaching program has been developed to provide individuals with the personalised advice and encouragement that supports healthy lifestyle transformation. Effective health coaching creates individuals who assume responsibility for their own health and wellbeing and are motivated to reflect on, improve and maintain their lifestyle choices. In the long term, program participants are equipped with the understanding and motivation to overcome barriers and maintain positive changes in order to deliver ongoing benefits both to the individual and company.
CBI uses research based, quality interventions that are structured, yet flexible, to allow our health professionals to personalise the program based on the individual’s needs. Depending on the level of health risk, CBI has a tailored, goal-orientated and targeted approach to suit each individual and help them achieve sustainable, long-term behaviour change.
Employees may use the telephone or face-to-face service once, or work with their coach over a period to develop goals and action plans to help them move forward with their health and wellbeing, and achieve a healthier, happier and more balanced lifestyle.
When combined with pre and post health assessments, CBI’s health coaching provides an overall solution for the management of health.
