One issue commonly faced by this sector includes changing work demands and schedules as the result of unstable climatic conditions. Another challenge we have noted is the significant organisational change experienced in some states, with many energy and utility providers undergoing privatisation. Major organisational change has the potential to impact on workplace morale and culture, with some fear and uncertainty around job security. CBI has been successfully worked with organisations going through such change to achieve positive health outcomes, and even improve staff morale, through our strong commitment to employee confidentiality, and the trust and rapport our health professionals are able to establish with staff.
