Corporate Bodies International has a successful and long standing relationship with the construction industry.Our experience in this industry is broad, having worked with unions (CFMEU, BLFQ), many major contractors, smaller sub contractors and individual trades. This variety of experience has allowed CBI to build a strong reputation within the construction industry for flexibility and innovation.
In 2009 CBI was commissioned by the Queensland Government and the Building Labourers Foundation of Queensland (BLFQ) to conduct a pilot study into the health of construction workers across South East Queensland. The alarming findings resulted in the establishment of a taskforce as well as a Premier’s Award for innovation in the industry.
Through this experience CBI has gained a great understanding for the challenges faced on all types of construction sites, whether it is a civil or commercial project, unionised or non unionised site. Several major projects in Queensland, Victoria and South Australia have been the beneficiaries of our health and wellbeing initiatives targeting not just the major companies but subcontractors also. This is a perfect example of the industry, unions and a health and wellness provider working together to achieve a common goal: better health for the industry.
